Our history
Established in 1967 by the will of Luciano Malavolti, in a small garage in the province of Reggio Emilia, it grew into a Group in the 1980s, to flourish in the 1990s through acquisitions and new company establishments.
Today AMA S.p.A. is a Group with offices in 21 countries around the world, made up of more than 26 companies and 18 production sites that work in synergy to offer a range of over 525,000 references to over 80,000 customers in 90 countries. But although it has grown enormously through the years, in terms of size and turnover, it remains a family-run company, led by Luciano’s son, Alessandro Malavolti, CEO, supported by his sister Isabella.
In 2022, AMA S.p.A. celebrated the 55th anniversary of its establishment.
